RETURNS POLICY

  1. DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS

    1. Bumbo Distribution South Africa (Pty) Ltd (Registration No. 2015/298807/07) (Bumbo SA) strives to ensure that the products delivered to a User is of the highest quality, and without defects. If a product contains a material defect in material and/or workmanship, the User can return such product within 6 (six) months from date of delivery by logging a return on the Website as set out below.
    2. The following will NOT be regarded as defects and will not entitle the User to return the product:
      1. faults resulting from normal wear and tear;
      2. damage arising from negligence, misuse or user abuse of the product;
      3. damage arising from failure to take adequate care for the product;
      4. damage arising from alterations to the product;
      5. damage arising from failure to use the products in accordance with the usage or care instructions that relate to the product.
    3. Upon processing a request for the return of defective goods, Bumbo SA will arrange to collect the product from the User at no charge. Should the collection address be different to the original delivery address the User should ensure that this is noted clearly when logging the return. Once the product has been inspected and the return has been validated by Bumbo SA, they will repair, replace or refund the value of the invoice to the User.
    4. If a User returns a product which does not comply with this Returns Policy, the User may be held liable to reimburse Bumbo SA for the courier and related costs of collecting the product from, and returning it to, the User.
  2. RETURNS PROCEDURE:

    1. A User who wishes to return a product as referred to in clause 4 of the Terms (which should be read with this Returns Policy) should log a return by sending an email to customerservice@bumbo.co.za.
    2. Once the return has been logged a Bumbo SA representative will contract the user in order to confirm the return details and the process for collection, including the item to be returned, the reason for the return, the collection address and the account details in the case of a refund. Once the return has been verified, Bumbo SA will furnish the User with a confirmatory email. 
    3. To ensure a request for a return is processed efficiently, the User is responsible for the following when returning the products:
      1. packaging the products safely and securely for protection during transit, preferably by re-cycling the carton in which the product was delivered;
      2. attaching a copy of the relevant Bumbo SA waybill to the box and clearly marking the parcel on the outside with the return reference number; and
      3. including all documentation supplied with the product.
    4. Failure to adhere to any of these requirements could delay the processing of your request or result in its decline altogether.
    5. Bumbo SA will refund the User using the same means of payment that was used for the transaction. Legal ownership of a product will immediately revert to Bumbo SA if they refund any such payment to the User.
    6. If the User returns a product to Bumbo SA, but fails to return all of the accessories and parts of that product, Bumbo SA may at its discretion and subject to applicable law, refuse the return, only replace the item which was returned or estimate the value of the missing accessories or parts and deduct the rand value of same from the refund to be paid to the User. 
    7. Where a User returns a product in circumstances other than as set out in clause 1 above (which includes rejecting a non-defective product outside the cancellation period), any repair, replacement or refund (in that order) will be at Bumbo SA’s discretion. If Bumbo SA does agree to provide a repair, replacement or refund, they will not refund the cost of delivery to the User and they will not reimburse the cost incurred by a User in returning the Product.
